Chamber Spotlight: Mystic Pet Resort & Spa

Mystic Pet Resort and Spa, which joined the chamber of March 2003, is different from most boarding and grooming businesses.

Owners Gareth and Lena Price combine a cheerful, state-of-the-art facility with caring attention to give pets a comfortable 'home away from home.' They offer grooming, boarding, daycare and retail sales.

Mystic is located at 1775 Bixlers Ferry Road in Luray. Visit their website at www.mysticpetresort.com.

Join LDI in its "Shop Local Luray" campaign

LDI is encouraging Page County residents to shop locally with their 'Shop Local Luray' campaign.

This effort is aimed at encouraging shoppers to think about the local economic impact of patronizing a local merchant instead of a chain store.

Support those who provide goods and services at home! For more information, contact LDI at www.luraydowntown.com.

SNP to close Panorama

Shenandoah National Park announces the impending removal of buildings in the Panorama area.  The Panorama Building and the Backcountry Camping Permit station will be removed.  Following the removal, a new water system will be installed and modern restroom facilities will be constructed in the upper lot.

For the safety of visitors, the park will  temporarily close the Marys Rock - Appalachian Trail trailhead and both the upper and lower parking areas at Panorama during construction.  The Panorama area is located at the intersection of U.S. Route 211 and Skyline Drive.  Park visitors should expect the closures to take effect soon after the Memorial Day holiday.
